A native of Seneca, South Carolina, Trey Heaton is a young music educator pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at The University of Georgia.
At the University of Georgia, Trey has participated in many ensembles including the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Trombone Choir, African American Choral Ensemble, and Hodgson Trombone Ensemble. Currently Trey performs with the University of Georgia Hodgson Singers, and The Redcoat Marching Band where he serves as Drum Major.
Some of Trey's notable appearances include the University of Texas at Austin's Art of Conducting and Rehearsing workshop, as well as the semi-final round of the S.E. Shires solo competition at the 2022 Southeast Trombone Symposium. Most recently Trey completed a tour with the Prague Summer Nights Festival where he toured the Czech Republic during the months of June and July, 2023. Trey is a sought after instructor specializing in trombone private instruction and the marching arts.
